  • What can I use instead of Calendly at Bowdoin?
  • How do I let people self-schedule time with me without using Calendly?
  • What is the Bowdoin-supported tool for online appointment scheduling?

Environment

This article applies to all Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students looking for a scheduling tool that allows others to self-book appointments with them.

Resolution

Bowdoin College does not have licensing for Calendly, and faculty, staff, and students are discouraged from using it for appointment scheduling.

Microsoft offers a built-in alternative called Personal Bookings, which provides the same self-scheduling functionality and is included with your Bowdoin Microsoft 365 account at no additional cost. For instructions on getting started, see Use Microsoft Personal Bookings to Schedule One-on-One Meetings in the Related Articles section.

Note: Personal Bookings is designed for personal one-on-one scheduling. If you need a shared scheduling calendar for a team or department, see Microsoft Bookings Getting Started Guide in the Related Articles section.
