Strategies for Using Videos in Canvas

  • Ensure that videos are accessible by providing captioning and transcripts. Panopto will automatically generate captions for your videos, and you can edit them to be sure the speech recognition technology has properly captioned your content.

  • Panopto enables you to create short clips from existing videos. Consider using clips of long presentations or lectures to present ideas related to your course in quick and engaging ways.

  • Videos are a great way to model complex processes for your students or to work through difficult concepts or problems.
