Setup Folder Redirection for Azure Virtual Desktop on macOS

  • Open Microsoft Remote Desktop app in the Applications Folder.
  • Click the Microsoft Remote Desktop Menu in the upper left corner and choose Preferences
  • Under the General Tab at the bottom click on the drop down below If folder redirection is enabled for RDP files

  • Click on Choose Folder.
  • Pick the folder you would like to redirect and click Choose
  • Close the Preferences Window. 
  • Log into your Azure Virtual Workspace/Desktop.
  • Click in the Search at the bottom left and type in This PC and hit Enter. 
  • You will see the folder listed here.
