Classroom and Meeting Space Technology Changes

Information

Beginning in the Fall of 2025, Information Technology, with support from the Committee on Teaching and Classroom Practice (CoTCP) will remove the instructor computer from nearly half of all classrooms on campus as the first of two steps towards the complete removal of instructor computers by the fall of 2026. The removal of the computers will simplify how each space is used, allow instructors more flexibility in their desired teaching style, and hopefully reduce the number of classroom technology issues that would occur because of the instructor computer. In addition to the removal of the instructor computer, Apple TVs have been added to nearly every classroom on campus, allowing instructors and students an opportunity to wirelessly present from their devices, from anywhere in a room.
