Resolutions
Unable to join BOWDOIN-PSK even after device registration
Double registration
The BOWDOIN-GUEST network and the BOWDOIN-PSK network share some of the same core components. If you attempted to join the BOWDOIN-GUEST wireless with a device at any time, before or after trying to register and join the BOWDOIN-PSK network, the device will not be able to join. This is because the device will be setup for the wrong network. In order to fix this issue, you must contact the Service Desk so that the device can be removed from both networks. Once complete, you'll be able to register the device again and join BOWDOIN-PSK correctly.
Wrong password
Check the password you were emailed. It is possible that the password was entered incorrectly.
Expired registration
You do have to register your device every year. Device registrations do not carry over from year to year, but they do carry over from one semester to another. Remember to NOT try to join BOWDOIN-GUEST at any time or you will be stuck and have to contact the Service Desk for assistance.
Unsupported device
Some devices simply won't work right without being on the same network as a device that needs to set it up. This is the case with most Google Home products. The issue is that smartphones and tablets can't join the BOWDOIN-PSK network but without the smart device and a phone being on the same network, you won't be able to set the device up.
