This article applies to all current Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students purchasing a computer for personal use.
- Who: All current Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students
- What: Personal computer purchases at academic discount pricing through Dell and Apple
- Not covered: Computers purchased for college use through the Computer Allocation Program (CAP) — those are provided by IT at no cost to eligible employees.
Resolution

All current Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students are eligible to purchase a computer directly from Dell or Apple for personal use at an academic discount. For purchasing instructions and recommendations for each vendor, see the related articles listed in the Related Articles section.
