Notability can use iCloud Sync to automatically keep your notes up to date across multiple devices with the same Apple ID. This is a two-way sync—any changes, including deletions, are reflected on all devices, and notes deleted from iCloud cannot be recovered. Users can enable or disable iCloud Sync in Notability’s settings and choose whether to keep or remove local copies of notes if sync is turned off. Notability supports automatic backups to third-party cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and WebDAV. You can configure Auto-Backup to select a destination folder, choose from multiple export file formats (PDF, RTF, Note, with or without recordings), and manage which subjects are included. Backups do not delete if the original note is removed from Notability, and iCloud is only supported for syncing across devices, not for one-way backups.
