Environment

This article applies to anyone using Microsoft Teams in a meeting or class from a Mac or Windows computer, including classroom computers.

Resolution

  1. Join or start a meeting: Open Microsoft Teams and join an existing meeting or start a new one.
  2. Open the share tray: In the meeting controls, click the Share button (an upward-arrow icon).
  3. Choose what to share: Select one of the options:
    • Screen – share your entire desktop.
    • Window – share a specific application window.
    • PowerPoint – share a PowerPoint presentation directly.
    • Whiteboard – share a collaborative whiteboard.
  4. Include computer audio: If you are sharing content from your computer (for example, a video), toggle on Include computer sound before sharing.
  5. Start sharing: Click your selected content to begin. Your screen or window will now be visible to all participants.
  6. Use the presenter toolbar: While presenting, use the presenter toolbar to control your camera and mic, give control to another participant, or annotate the shared content.
  7. Stop sharing: When finished, click Stop sharing in the presenter toolbar to end the screen share.
