Resolution

Turn off folder backup in OneDrive on Windows

  1. Open OneDrive settings: select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, select the Settings gear icon, and then select Settings.
  2. Go to the Sync and backup tab.
  3. Select Manage backup.
  4. To stop backing up a folder, select the toggle for the folder to turn it off.

Turn off folder backup in OneDrive on macOS

  1. Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the menu bar, select the Settings gear to open the menu, and select Preferences.
  2. Go to the Backup tab.
  3. Select Manage backup.
  4. To stop backing up a folder, select Stop backup, and confirm the request.
