Resolution

Bowdoin has a few licenses for Final Cut Pro available for faculty, staff, and students. However, Adobe Premiere Pro is the preferred video editing software, as it is available to everyone as part of the Adobe License Agreement.

Final Cut Pro

Faculty and staff can obtain a license for Final Cut Pro for academic purposes for macOS.

Students can obtain a license for Final Cut Pro for one academic semester at a time. If it is needed longer, additional requests must be made.

To request access to use Final Cut Pro, visit the service titled Request Application or Software, or see the link under the Related Services section on this page.

Adobe Premiere Pro

All faculty, staff, and students should have access to Adobe Premiere Pro as part of the College's Adobe license. To get started, download, install, and sign in to the Adobe Creative Cloud app (see the Related Articles section). Once you are signed in, the option to install Adobe Premiere Pro will become available.
