Request Application or Software

Introduction

Information Technology maintains dozens of software and app titles that are available for productivity and research. Many of these can be installed without assistance through the Self Service app in macOS and Company Portal app for Windows. For software that isn't available as self-service, that Bowdoin owns, you can request IT assistance.

For software and apps that we don't own, you can request a quote and/or a purchase of that app. If the cost is greater than $500, you may be asked to submit the purchase as a CAP request or as part of the annual technology budget request so that the costs can be accounted for in the budget.

Eligibility

Staff, faculty, and students may request assistance installing software

Staff and Faculty may request a quote or to purchase software.

  • If you would like assistance installing a piece of software or an app, press the "Request Software Install" button.
  • If you'd like to request a quote for an app or to purchase a new app, press the "Request Software Quote or Purchase" button.
