Summary
The Office of Communications and Public Affairs created a set of Bowdoin Zoom backgrounds to use during classes and meetings. Backgrounds are useful for blocking distractions happening behind you like your cat wanting attention!

Changing Your Zoom Background

On a computer
- Download a background image from Bowdoin's custom Zoom background portal to a computer.
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- Click the settings
icon in the top-right.
- Select Backgrounds and Filters.
- Click on an image to select the desired virtual background or add your own image by clicking + and choosing if you want to upload an image or a video.
On an iOS device (iPhone, iPad)
- Download a background image from Bowdoin's custom Zoom background portal to your iOS device.
- While in a Zoom meeting, tap More in the controls.
- Tap Virtual Background.
- Tap the background you would like to apply or tap + to upload a new image. The background will be automatically applied.
- Tap Close after selecting the background to return to the meeting.
