Issue/Question
- I just received an email to take a survey from IT. Is this real?
- How often do I need to take an IT survey?
- Do I need to take the IT survey?
- How is the information from the survey used?
Environment
The ticketing platform used by Information Technology and other departments, has a built-in ability to send and process small surveys with the intention of gauging the satisfaction, level of service, or overall happiness of a client's experience with IT (or other department). The surveys are not generally anonymous, however some anonymous surveys may be created from time to time.
Resolution
If you receive a survey request, we ask that you take the time to answer it. The feedback, both good and bad, will help to improve the services provided and/or let us know of areas that need more focus.
You may not always receive a survey. They are randomly sent out to clients, depending on certain criteria. Some surveys may be sent only to those asking for assistance with a specific topic, while others may be sent to a larger sampling of clients.
All surveys will be short, as they are not intended to make a client do more work, but are intended as feedback tool.
Email Template
Below you will find the email template used for most IT-related surveys. Other departments may choose their own email template style.
