You can use Teams to make and receive phone calls from the Teams app on your computer, or the Teams app on your phone or on a Teams phone.

Teams app on the computer

Method One

1. Click on the Calls icon on the left side of the Teams app.
2. Enter a number manually.
3. In the lower left corner of the app is a number keypad. Dial the number:
   1. Dial the four digit extension for an on campus extension.
   2. Dial the complete number. You do not need to dial a 9 to get an outside line.
   3. Dial 1 + the area code and number to call long distance.

Method Two

1. Search for the person using the Search Bar at the top of the app window.
2. Click on them when you see them listed.
3. Click on the telephone icon in the upper right corner of the chat window to call them.

Method One

1. Tap on the More option in the lower right corner of the app.
2. Tap on Calls.
3. Tap on the phone + icon in the upper right corner.
4. Dial the number you wish to call. If you are calling a Bowdoin extension you only need to dial the last four digits, otherwise dial the complete number. Keep in mind that you do not need to dial a 9.

Method Two

1. Tap on the More option in the lower right corner of the app.
2. Tap on Calls.
3. Tap on the phone + icon in the upper right corner.
4. Select the People tab.
5. Search the Bowdoin directory for the person you wish to call.
6. Tap on the phone icon to the right of their name to make an audio call. Tap on the video camera icon to make a video call.

Method One

1. Tap on the Calls button on the screen.
2. Enter a number manually.
   1. Dial the four digit extension for an on campus extension.
   2. Dial the number using the number keys then tap call. You do not need to dial a 9 to get an outside line.
   3. Dial 1 + the area code and number to call long distance.

Method Two

1. Tap on the Calls button on the screen.
2. Their will be a number of contacts under Favorites and Recents, tap the button with the person you want to call.
3. If they do not appear there tap on the icon with the phone receiver and + sign to look a person up in the Bowdoin directory.
4. Once you see the person you are looking for tap on the phone receiver icon to the right of their name to make an audio call, or tap on the video camera icon to make a video call.
