I would like to use Nvivo for my coursework or research. How do I access Nvivo on macOS?
Environment
Nvivo is available for use on Faculty, Staff and Student computers.
Resolution
To install Nvivo on your Bowdoin-provided computer, you can install it from
Self Service
Search for Nvivo 14 and click
Install
.
Once installed in the Applications folder right click on
Nvivo
and Choose
Open.
When Prompted with
macOS cannot verify the developer of “NVivo”. Are you sure you want to open it?
Choose
Open.
When asked to give Nvivo permission to access data click
Open Security & Privacy.
Enter your computer password if prompted.
Toggle the switch next to
Nvivo
to On.
Enter your computer password if prompted.
Agree to the License Agreement.
Quit Nvivo.
Open Self Service again, but this time click
Install
under
Nvivo 14 Activation.
Once that installs quit
Self Service
and open
Nvivo.
