Comprehensive help for Third Parties attempting to log in to Workday
Important Tips for All Users
- You will log in using a dedicated third party link: https://friendsandfamily.bowdoin.edu
- When logging in for the first time, use the link provided in your email.
- Third party users should sign in using a web browser, ideally from a laptop or desktop device.
- Workday does not support third party functionality on its app.
- Google Chrome is the recommended browser for the best experience when accessing Workday.
- If you are a Bowdoin staff or faculty member, please ensure that your student does not use your Bowdoin email address to create your third party account.
Issues Logging In
User Name
- Workday assigns a unique username to third-party accounts. This username is sent to the email address on file when permissions are granted by your student. Keep in mind that your username is not your email address.
- If you need help locating your Workday username, please submit a Friends & Families help request through the Workday Support Hub.
Passwords
- If you have forgotten your password or did not receive one, use the "Forgot Password?" link on the Workday sign in page. You'll need to enter both the username and the email address associated with your account.
Student Troubleshooting Efforts
- Students should not remove their third party contact or change their email address in an attempt to troubleshoot login issues. Instead, either the third party user or the student should submit a help request via the Workday Support Hub.
- Doing so can result in errors that can take an extended amount of time to resolve
Timing Out and Redirects
