How to reset your Bowdoin password

You can reset your Bowdoin password at any time, from anywhere. If you know your current password, follow the quick steps below. If you do not know your current password, follow the instructions in the article titled "How to reset your Bowdoin password if forgotten" linked under the "Related Articles" section on the right.

Steps to reset your password

The following steps can be taken to reset your Bowdoin password.

  1. Go to login.bowdoin.edu from any web browser and log in with your current password.
  2. Look for your name near the top of the page and click the small disclosure triangle next to it.
  3. Click Settings from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click the Edit Settings  button
  5. Enter your current password once more. This is to verify your identity.
  6. In the right-hand column there is a box titled "Change Password". Enter your current password and the new password.
  7. Click Change Password
  8. Your password is now changed. It may take a few moments for the password to be synced across all Bowdoin systems but that will be the password you will need to use to log in to any Bowdoin system or service.
