Register a Connected Device

Use this to

Register a game console, smart TV, streaming stick, or similar device on Bowdoin's BOWDOIN-PSK wireless network. This button takes you directly to the self-service registration page — it does not create a support ticket.

This is a self-service tool. You complete the registration yourself at the portal and connect your device with the password it provides. Nothing is submitted to IT.

When to Use This

Use this when:

  • You're setting up a PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or other game console
  • You're connecting a smart TV, streaming stick, or similar device in a residence hall
  • You need the device-specific password that BOWDOIN-PSK uses

When NOT to Use This

Don't use this if:

  • You've already registered the device and it still won't connect — use Report a Device Registration Problem
  • You're connecting a laptop, phone, or tablet — use the BOWDOIN or eduroam networks and see Campus Wi-Fi Information
  • You're trying to set up a smart speaker, smart light, or smart switch — these generally can't be used on campus networks; see the explanations in the Related Articles section

Before You Start

Have ready:

  • Your device's Wi-Fi (MAC) address — the guides in the Related Articles section show where to find it for each device type
  • The device itself, so you can enter the password it's given

What Happens Next

This is self-service and immediate — no ticket is created. Register the device at the portal, then connect it using the password provided. If registration fails, use Report a Device Registration Problem.
