Department/Course Planning Session

Summary

Use this request to set up a working session for a department, program, or course-level technology decision, such as planning a new course, a curriculum change, or a shared-tool choice.

When to Use This

  • Your department or program is choosing or standardizing on a tool and wants guidance.
  • You're building a new course or sequence and want to plan the technology up front.
  • A curriculum change has technology implications you want to think through with us.
  • You want a recurring partnership for your department's academic-technology needs.

When NOT to Use This

  • It's an individual teaching or research question. Use Request a Teaching Technology Consultation or Request a Research Technology Consultation instead.

Before You Submit

Have ready the department or program, who should be involved, what you're planning, and any target dates. Naming a chair or coordinator as the point of contact helps.

What Happens Next

Your request is routed to the Academic Technology Consultant for your department, who will respond within two business days to scope the session and find a time. Department planning is collaborative and often spans more than one meeting, so we'll set expectations with you. These sessions are typically scheduled work rather than a quick turnaround.
