Environment
This article applies to all Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students during a weather emergency declared by Bowdoin College Administration. Support availability varies depending on the type of emergency and whether students are currently on campus.
Resolution

What remains available:
- Phone support — call (207) 725-3030
- Live chat support via Bowdoin Bot
- Remote access support
- Self-service options including the IT Client Portal and Knowledge Base
If the emergency is declared while students are on campus:
- Limited walk-in support may be available at the Tech Hub only
- No staff will be present at Maine St. Station offices

Classroom technology issues during a weather emergency: Contact the Service Desk by phone or submit a request online. In some cases, remote assistance may be possible. Issues that require in-person assistance will be addressed when IT staff return to campus.
Heat advisories
If Bowdoin College Administration declares a heat emergency, the following changes apply:
What remains available:
- Phone support, live chat, remote access support, and self-service options during regular business hours
- In-person classroom technology support if classes are in session
What may be affected:
- In-person support may be discussed on a per-case basis depending on conditions and staff availability
- Some requests may be asked to wait until a later date, though service generally continues under heat advisories if it can be provided safely
