How to enable Assistive Technologies on an iPad


Powerful assistive features are built into iPad to complement your vision, hearing, motor skills, learning, and literacy. You can create, learn, work, play, and do pretty much anything you want to do, wherever you want to do it, more easily than ever.


To enable Assistive Technologies on an iPad you will need to turn on that feature located in Accessibility settings:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Locate and select Accessibility.
  3. Search for the Accessibility features you would like to enable on your device.
  4. Select a feature and tap on the white dot next to the feature’s name to turn it on (dot’s background will become green). 
  5. Within each category, you can further customize the aspects of the assistive features according your needs.
