- I lost my Apple Pencil, can you replace it?
- My Apple Pencil was stolen, how can it be replaced?
Environment
The Apple Pencil 2 was provided to all enrolled students and faculty who requested an iPad beginning in the fall of 2020.
Resolution
Students
If the Apple Pencil 2 is lost, it is the responsibility of the student to replace it. A new Apple Pencil 2 can be purchased from Apple directly.
If the Apple Pencil 2 has been stolen, report the theft to Bowdoin Security or and the Police, and provide a copy of the report to the Service Desk by email at servicedesk@bowdoin.edu. IT can help look up Apple Pencils by serial number when they are turned in.
Faculty and Staff
If you have lost your Apple Pencil, please contact the Service Desk with instructions on obtaining a replacement. Please note that your department may be charged for the cost of the replacement at $120 or the current retail cost of the pencil, whichever is less.
