How to unsubscribe from StatusHub alerts

Issue/Question

  • I've been subscribed to StatusHub, but I don't want to be anymore, how do I unsubscribe?
  • How do I unsubscribe from StatusHub?

Environment

StatusHub is Information Technology's Service Alert System. It is used to send alerts for outages, scheduled maintenance and other important notifications. As a member of the campus community, you are subscribed by default, however receiving the alerts is up to you. IT will subscribe you once, but can unsubscribe from the alerts following the information below.

Resolution

You can unsubscribe from StatusHub alerts by clicking on the "Unsubscribe link" supplied in any StatusHub email message that is sent to you.

You can not unsubscribe from the website directly. This is a security feature to ensure that someone can not unsubscribe you without your consent.

The same feature exists for SMS messages. To unsubscribe from SMS messages (if you have subscribed yourself), you must respond to either the text alerts or through a link in the message that is sent.
