Issue/Question
- How can I change my department's voicemail greeting?
- Can I change my department greeting in Teams?
Environment
Departments that have central phone numbers may need to change the voicemail greeting that answers when a call is received, perhaps for special events, holidays or other reasons.
Resolution
Note: You will need to be provided with access to your department's Teams Call Queue or Auto Attendant. If you do not already have access, please contact your department's call queue manager for assistance. They will be able to provide those permissions to you.

- Click on the drop down menu beneath Set up a greeting for this call queue when a customer calls in.
- Select the option you want to use.
- Add a greeting message - The text you type into the Greeting message box will be played to any callers who get the dept. voice mail.
- No greeting - There will be no greeting played.
- Play an audio file - Allows you to upload a MP3, WAV or WMA file to be played for the caller. The audio files must be less than 5MB.
- Once you are finished, click Save.
