Environment
- Computers running macOS with the GlobalProtect VPN software already installed.

Using GlobalProtect in macOS
The following steps will guide you through starting GlobalProtect and connecting to Bowdoin.

- If this is the first time running the application, go to your Applications folder, scroll down the list and double-click on GlobalProtect
- In your menu bar you will now find a small globe with a red dot (the dot color indicates if you're connected or not).
- Click on the icon
- In the box labeled Portal you should see remoteaccess.bowdoin.edu, if you do not, change it to read remoteaccess.bowdoin.edu.
- Click Connect
Note that the above screenshot may vary from what you see. This one shows the error message you will receive if you try to connect from on campus.
- Once it connects, you will be prompted to log in using your Bowdoin username, password, and Okta verification.
- If successful, the icon will change to have a green dot indicating you are now connected.
