How to Setup your Bowdoin Mac out of the box

If you received a new Bowdoin Mac out of the box, please open the box and plug the computer in to power. Connect a network cable if available. 

Turn on your computer.

Choose a Country and click Continue.

Choose any Accessibility Settings you may need or click Not Now.

If you didn't plug in a network cable please connect to a wireless network and click Continue.

At the Remote Management screen click Continue. If you don't see this screen please contact the Service Desk at 207-725-3030 before continuing.

When prompted login with your Bowdoin credentials.

Your Full name and Account name should be populated with your Name and Bowdoin Username. Please do not change these. 

Enter a password (This can be the same as your Bowdoin password or something different) and click Continue.

Laptop Models only: You may setup Touch ID or choose to Setup Touch ID later.

Choose your Look and click Continue.

Your computer is now enrolled and Bowdoin applications will install in the background over the next hour. When completed you will get a message to restart your computer.
