Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students installing the Microsoft Teams desktop app on a Bowdoin-issued Mac or Windows computer. Microsoft Teams is available for nearly all platforms and can be downloaded and installed on Windows, macOS, some Linux distributions, iOS, and Android. Information Technology delivers Teams to Bowdoin-issued computers either automatically or through managed software tools.
- To install Teams on a personal computer instead of a Bowdoin-issued one, see How to Install Teams from Home or on a Personal Computer in the Related Articles section.
Hint: The formal app name for Teams is "Microsoft Teams". If you are looking at your apps alphabetically, it appears under "M" and not "T".
Resolution
Microsoft Teams should already be installed on all Bowdoin-issued computers. If you are unable to locate it, follow the steps below for your computer type.
