Environment
This article applies to all Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students. Instructions cover the Zoom website, the Zoom desktop app on Windows 11 and macOS Sequoia (15.x) or later, and the Zoom mobile app on iPhone and iPad.
Resolution
Always use SSO: Sign in to Zoom using your Bowdoin Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials. Do not create or use a separate personal Zoom account — signing in with SSO gives you access to your full Bowdoin Pro license.
Log In on the Zoom Website
- Go to bowdoin.zoom.us.
- Click Sign In in the upper-right corner of the page.

- Bowdoin's Single Sign-On page will open. Enter your Bowdoin username and password to complete sign-in.
Already signed in to Bowdoin services? If you are already signed in to Microsoft 365, Workday, or any other Bowdoin SSO service, you will be taken directly to your Zoom profile without being prompted for credentials again.
Log In on the Zoom Desktop App (Windows or Mac)
- Open the Zoom app. On Windows, find it in the Start Menu. On a Mac, find it in the Applications folder.
- Click Sign In.

- Click Sign In with SSO.

- In the Your company domain field, type
bowdoin, then click Continue.

- A browser window will open to complete Bowdoin SSO sign-in. After entering your username and password, the browser will redirect you back to the Zoom desktop app automatically.
Log In on a Mobile Device (iPhone or iPad)
- Open the Zoom app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap Sign In.
- Tap SSO. You do not need to enter an email address or password on this screen.

- Type
bowdoin in the domain field and tap Continue.

- A browser page will open for Bowdoin SSO. Sign in with your Bowdoin credentials, then tap Open or Allow when prompted to return to the Zoom app.
