Environment

This article applies to all Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students. Instructions cover the Zoom website, the Zoom desktop app on Windows 11 and macOS Sequoia (15.x) or later, and the Zoom mobile app on iPhone and iPad.

Resolution

Always use SSO: Sign in to Zoom using your Bowdoin Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials. Do not create or use a separate personal Zoom account — signing in with SSO gives you access to your full Bowdoin Pro license.

Log In on the Zoom Website

  1. Go to bowdoin.zoom.us.
  2. Click Sign In in the upper-right corner of the page.

Zoom sign-in screen with Sign In button outlined in red, options to join or host a meeting.

  3. Bowdoin's Single Sign-On page will open. Enter your Bowdoin username and password to complete sign-in.
Already signed in to Bowdoin services? If you are already signed in to Microsoft 365, Workday, or any other Bowdoin SSO service, you will be taken directly to your Zoom profile without being prompted for credentials again.
