Windows Autopilot: Configure New Computer with Bowdoin Software and Settings

If you start your computer and receive a "Sign into Microsoft" message prior to logging into Windows, follow these steps to automatically configure your new Windows computer with Bowdoin software and settings:

  1. Connect the laptop to the power source.
  2. Connect the laptop to the Bowdoin network using an Ethernet cable.
  3. Enter your full Bowdoin email address at the "Sign into Microsoft" screen.
  4. Complete the sign-in process at Bowdoin's Okta sign-on page.
  5. The computer may reboot while preparing Windows.
  6. At the Windows login screen, wait 15 minutes.
  7. Sign in with your Bowdoin username and password.
  8. Once the Desktop displays, wait 15 minutes for the automatic configuration to continue in the background.
  9. If prompted, reboot to install updates.
