Environment
This article is for Bowdoin College staff or faculty who need to moderate Microsoft 365 Distribution Group email messages from a mobile device.
These instructions help customers request the desktop version of a website in Firefox so they can access the full moderation tools.
Resolution
Note: If you are a moderator of a Microsoft 365 Distribution group and need to approve or deny a message from a mobile device, you must download and use the Firefox app and request the desktop version of the website to gain access to the buttons.
No other browser or the Outlook mobile app will provide access to the moderation buttons on mobile devices.
- If you don't already have it installed on your mobile device, download the Firefox app from your device's app store.
- Open the Firefox browser on your iOS or Android device.
- Open and log in to Outlook in Firefox at https://outlook.office.com.
- Navigate to the message moderation email or notification link you received in your Bowdoin Microsoft 365 account.
- If the mobile version loads and does not show Approve/Reject buttons, tap on hamburger menu from the bar at the bottom of the page.
- From the menu, select “Request Desktop Site”.

- The page will reload in desktop mode. You should now see the full Microsoft 365 interface, including the options to approve or reject the email message moderated for the distribution group.

- Locate the message in question and select the Approve or Reject option as needed.
