Environment

This article applies to anyone using the Outlook app on a mobile device to access a Bowdoin account. The Outlook app manages Bowdoin email, calendars, contacts, and files, and can add other email accounts in one mobile app. Personal mobile devices are supported on a best-effort basis and are not managed by Bowdoin IT.

Resolution

To install the Outlook app on a mobile device, go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-com/mobile/.

Remove an existing account

  1. Open the Outlook app.
  2. Tap Login at the message We are having trouble accessing your account.
  3. Tap the trash can in the upper-left corner of the Exchange configuration window.
  4. Confirm deletion of the account by tapping Delete.

Configure the Outlook app

  1. Open the Outlook app.
  2. Tap Get Started.
  3. Enter your Bowdoin email address and tap Add Account.
  4. Enter your email address and password on the Bowdoin organizational sign-in page and tap Sign In.
